Over the years, numerous works belonging to the classical music repertoire and several large forms have been performed. In 1997, the festival expanded beyond the walls of Rapla's Maarja-Magdaleena Church and its scope reached other Estonian cities and counties. Professional-level music has been heard in small village churches in Rapla County, Tallinn, and Haapsalu, and chamber concerts have also taken place in beautiful manor houses throughout Estonia. The festival features most of Estonia's music elite as well as foreign performers from Sweden to Japan. Since 2010, the International Rapla Summer Academy has been held as part of the festival, offering master classes for singers, string andwind instrument players, and conductors. Since the same year, the festival has been artistically led by opera singer Pille Lill and organized by the PLMF Musicians Foundation.
