Eastern Music Festival Orient Orient Festival is the first-ever concentrated show of oriental music in Estonia, a tradition going back to the year 1992, and has brought the most authentic performers from more exotic regions of the world, comprising any kind of ritual, folk, and traditional classical music. Initially, the performers were of mostly Asian origin, yet we have from time to time expanded our horizons, i. e. Festival 2024: The festival will be part of European Culture Capital with main focus sacred rites from non-European cultures. All the performers are authentic and as they perform consecration of Põlva Culture Centre Sky Park, they are actually all empowered to do that according to their own tradition. Needless to say, that kind of rites usually are also on a very artistic level.
